Introduction to Google Docs

Two of the great benefits to your Google account are Google Drive and Google Docs. Google Drive is free cloud storage and Google Docs is Google’s free alternative to MS Word. In this class you will learn how to store and manage your files online as well as use the Google Docs platform where you can create stunning documents.

Session 1: In this session we will discuss the Google cloud based model, how to access Google Drive and Google Docs, and cover the basics of Google Drive.

Session 2: We will first discuss slightly more advanced Drive tools, then talk about the Docs interface and basic document creation.

Session 3: We will go into more detail on document creation using Google Docs. Then we will talk about sharing files via Google Drive.

This class is a series of on-demand videos that you can learn from at your own pace. We recommend starting with the overview of the class, then proceeding through each of the lessons. You need to have speakers on the device that you are using.
